Bio: Tom is an experienced trial lawyer who has been representing individuals injured by the negligence of others for more than 22 years in Northern Virginia. Tom is rated AV by Martindale-Hubbell Legal Directory, is listed in The Best Lawyers in America, and has been recognized as a top personal injury lawyer in the Washington Metropolitan Area in The Washingtonian (December 2004) and The Washington Post Magazine (October 8, 2006). He takes great pride in the fact that the majority of his cases are referred by previous clients and by other lawyers. Tom also works to preserve our nation’s justice system by serving on the Board of Governors of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, as a member of the Trial Lawyers Care program for the American Trial Lawyers Association, as an active member of the Alexandria Bar Association, and as a member of the Virginia State Bar. Tom serves as a frequent lecturer and author on trial practice, evidence, insurance, and personal injury. Tom’s educational service includes acting as faculty members of the Virginia College of Trial Advocacy and the Virginia State Bar Professional Course. Tom also serves as a Neutral Case Evaluator and Civil Case Conciliator for the Fairfax Circuit Court as well as an Arbitrator for personal injury cases in Virginia.

Michele Thompson Stephens

Bio: Michele is our firm’s legal secretary with over 21 years of experience. She started as an office assistant in 1983 with the firm of Cohen, Dunn & Sinclair, P.C., and became a legal secretary in 1985. She and Tom have worked together for 17 years. Her pleasant manner and dedication to the firm and its clients are keys to our success.
