Virtual Blood Drive Highlights Lawyers Working Together

This month at Curcio Law, we have all signed up to donate blood with the American Red Cross as part of the joint Virginia Trial Lawyers Association (VTLA), Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys (VADA), and Virginia Bar Association (VBA) Young Lawyers Virtual Blood Drive. This virtual blood drive is the result of a great idea from a member of the VTLA young trial lawyer section who wanted to give back in response to the tragic events in Buffalo, NY, and Uvalde, TX.

In hopes of spreading awareness of this virtual blood drive to all attorneys across the Commonwealth, the young lawyer section of VTLA partnered with the young lawyer sections of VADA and VBA.

Participating in the virtual blood drive is very easy. Each person can sign up for a time slot to donate blood at a venue of their choice. After donating, the person can take a picture of themselves and post it on social media with the hashtag #ItTakesAllTypesVA so all participants in the virtual blood drive will be able to see each other using the hashtag.

It is always great to see lawyers working together, and this virtual blood drive is a noble cause. Even if you are not a lawyer, you can still follow this link and sign up to participate in the blood drive. Our goal is to get 50 donors before the end of the month, and we are over halfway to our goal. You can follow the virtual blood drive by searching the hashtag #ItTakesAllTypesVA on Instagram and Twitter, or you can see the donors’ posts on the American Red Cross website.
