V-Very Attentive: When driving, walking, riding a bike, or using any other mode of transportation, it is important to be attentive to your surroundings and constantly scanning for potential dangers.
A-Attitude: It is important to approach the road with a good attitude; road rage is not only unpleasant for you and your passengers but also dangerous.
L-Lane Changes: Before changing lanes, remember to check your blind spots, turn on your turn signal, and make sure there is an opening in traffic large enough for your vehicle.
E-Engine: When was the last time you had your vehicle serviced? You cannot approach the road safely if your vehicle is not running properly.
N-No Tolerance Policy: Do not allow yourself or your loved ones to drive impaired by alcohol or drugs. A $20 cab is worth the cost every time.
T-Technology: Although some technologies have created great improvements in safety, such as back up cameras and lane placement sensors, most technologies act as a distraction on the road. Stow your cellphone and set your GPS before hitting the road so you can better enjoy your Valentine’s company.
